Lucy Sante is the author of Low Life, Evidence, The Factory of Facts, Kill All Your Darlings, Folk Photography, and most recently, The Other Paris. She translated Félix Fénéon’s Novels in Three Lines and has written introductions to several other NYRB Classics, including Classic Crimes by William Roughead and Pedigree by Georges Simenon. A frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books, she teaches writing and the history of photography at Bard College.
Adele Bertei works as a writer, director, performer, and musician, and resides in Los Angeles, CA. As author, her first book Peter and the Wolves is a short memoir of her rock and roll education via legendary Cleveland musician Peter Laughner, released by Smog Veil Records. Why Labelle Matters was published by the University of Texas Press in March, 2021. She continues to perform original music, most recently at Club Salo in Paris, MoMA’s Club 57 exhibition in November of 2017, L.A.’s Bootleg Theater, and Florence’s Queer Festival in 2018, where she screened her surrealist short political satire film, The Littlest Trampette.
Mike DeCapite has published the novel Through the Windshield, the chapbook Creamsicle Blue, and the short-prose collection Radiant Fog under the banner of Sparkle Street Books. Cuz Editions published his story “Sitting Pretty,” later anthologized in The Italian American Reader.
